The music industry and the digital medium

A few days ago, I did some research to better understand how the music industry has changed with the entry of the digital age into the life of our society. They talked about the ways in which phonographic content was distributed - its evolution - and how limited it has been compared to what it is today. In the past, music was essentially consumed through media such as radio or CDs. It is a fact that this area today has an unrivaled ease in terms of distribution, commercialization and, mainly in the promotion. In addition, the artists' success was limited by having a good contract with a good record label. Profit in a career in music was essentially generated by the sale of albums.
